Artist Profile

Introduction and Experience
Alexey Golovin (b. 1977, Saint Petersburg, Russia) is a contemporary painter whose work blends classical tradition with modern sensibilities. Trained at Repin’s Fine Art Academy and raised in a family of artists, Golovin draws inspiration from Greek mythology, still life, portraiture, and landscape, combining meticulous technique with a mastery of light and depth. He believes that the essence of painting is beauty: even when depicting tragedy or difficult subjects, the artist’s task is to create works that are expressive and aesthetically compelling, offering space for reflection and meditation in a fast-moving world.
