Artist Profile

Introduction and Experience
Igor Grechanyk (b. 1960, Kyiv, Ukraine) is a contemporary sculptor renowned for his symbolic, visionary language that bridges classical form and metaphysical inquiry. Raised in an artistic family, he studied at the Republican Art School in Kyiv and graduated from the State Art Institute in 1984, where he refined his mastery of sculpture.
Grechanyk’s work is deeply rooted in esoteric philosophy, ancient mythology, and the exploration of the collective unconscious. His bronze sculptures give form to the intangible, embodying spiritual energy through dynamic compositions that merge strength with elegance. Blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, his figures emerge as archetypal symbols, inviting reflection on human existence and inner transformation.
His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in museum and private collections across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Complementing his gallery practice, he has created numerous monumental public sculptures, further establishing his presence on the global stage. A member of the National Artists Union of Ukraine and the Society for Art of Imagination in London, Grechanyk continues to live and work in Kyiv.
