Introduction and Experience
Igor Grechanyk was born in 1960 into an artistic family in Kyiv, Ukraine. He developed an interest in art and painting from a young age, even attending the Republican Party's art school and graduating in 1978. In 1984, he graduated from the sculpture department of the Kyiv National Art Academy. From childhood, he yearned to understand the origins and values of human civilization, the deeper levels of human consciousness, and the relationship between the material world representing life and the celestial bodies of the universe. This interest inspired his study of profound doctrines and ancient myths, and motivated his artistic journey into the realm of images and symbols representing all humanity and all times.
Igor Grechanyk is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and the president of "The Golden Gate," an art and creative association founded in Kyiv, Ukraine in 1997. Renowned globally for his sculptural talent, Igor has participated in exhibitions and public art designs in numerous countries. He is the principal sculptor for Ukraine's major national monuments and has received awards from the Prime Minister of Ukraine and other countries. In 2011, he was appointed a Cultural Peace Ambassador and received the Flame of Peace Award from the Austrian Habsburg-Lothringen Royal Family.
