Introduction and Experience
Lin Yian (b. 1979, Yilan, Taiwan) graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan University of Arts, where she also earned her master’s degree from the Graduate School of Plastic Arts. Working across a wide range of media, including drawing, watercolor, ink painting, oil painting, colored pencil, pastel, and mixed media, Lin has developed a versatile artistic practice distinguished by technical refinement and lyrical sensitivity.
Lin previously taught in the Department of Game and Animation Design at Taipei University of Marine Technology, where she mentored numerous students who were later admitted to leading art institutions. Her works have received multiple awards and have been exhibited in various art fairs and exhibitions, while also entering both public and private collections.
In addition to her artistic practice, Lin has published several visual reference collections, including Still Life Image Collection and Landscape Image Collection. These publications further reflect her longstanding engagement with art education and visual culture, underscoring the breadth of her creative practice as both an artist and educator.
