Luigi Pellanda (b. 1964, Bassano del Grappa, Italy) is a self-taught Italian artist whose multifaceted practice encompasses painting, sculpture, engraving, and photography. Deeply influenced by the chiaroscuro of the Old Masters, his work is characterized by a refined hyperrealism that combines rigorous technical precision with a dramatic interplay of light and shadow.
Focusing on still life, botanical subjects, and the human figure, Pellanda creates compositions that transcend representation, transforming form and detail into emotionally resonant visual experiences. His multidisciplinary approach extends to bronze sculpture and fine-art printmaking, reflecting an ongoing exploration of materiality and classical technique.
With a career spanning over four decades, Pellanda has been exhibited internationally, notably including his participation in the 54th Venice Biennale. His art is held in significant public and private collections across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia.
