Artist Introduction

Introduction and Experience
Artist Marta Argentina Garcia Suarez was born in Asturias, Spain. Her artistic career began in Reus (Tarragona), where she studied painting with the painter Vicenç Ferrer. Later, she specialized in decorative arts at the Tarragona Provincial Council Art Studio School, graduating with a degree in "Painting Program." With her diverse skills, including oil painting, collage, and mixed media, her work has won numerous awards in national and international exhibitions.
She creates using a variety of techniques, including oil painting, collage, and mixed media. In her works, we can feel the leisurely depiction of natural landscapes, the passionate scenes of daily life, and the comfortable tranquility and peace.
Her work has received numerous accolades at national and international exhibitions, including a Special Mention at the GIR ART competition in Spain's Calafel, an Honorable Mention from the Ancon Gallery, and an Honorary Red Dot Award at the 2020 Taipei New Art Fair. She has also been shortlisted for the 8th Montblanc Biennale (Tarragona) and has held solo exhibitions at venues such as the Augusta Museum (Barcelona) and the Coate Museum (A Coruña). Furthermore, she has represented Spain with two works at Isacc Levitan, Russia's only museum dedicated to landscapes.
Marta now resides in Tarragona, Spain, a town that provides a constant source of inspiration for her work.

Finalist and recipient of the second special nomination in the 2001 Albacete Provincial Government's "Herling" painting competition, Albacete.
Second Prize, 2000, "X Concurso Internacional". "DONART-2000", Casa Elizalde, Barcelona.
1999 Barcelona Foundation Prize, selected for Palma de Mallorca (Mallorca)
Participated in the "Penagos de Dibujo" Award Exhibition in Madrid in 1999.
In 1998, Casa Elizalde was shortlisted for and won fifth place in the "DONART-98" Special Award in Barcelona.
