Danubio
offers a macro perspective of the Danube flowing through the city, framing the river as a vessel of time and memory. Across a deep blue expanse, urban lights scatter like constellations, while bridges span the water, linking past and present, people and the city.
Through layered brushwork and translucent glazes, José Abel allows architecture and light to drift between representation and abstraction, as if the city were breathing in rhythm with the river’s current. This work transcends traditional landscape, unfolding as a visual poem on flux, civilization, and the depths of human experience.
