Work Description

The juxtaposition of skull and butterfly symbolizes the intersection of death and rebirth. A golden palette imbues the work with an almost iconic luminosity, transforming the skull’s inherent gravity into a fragile metaphor for the transience of life.

Through this interplay of contrasting elements, Pasqua distills a poetic articulation of impermanence, offering one of the most lyrical expressions within the Vanité series’ ongoing reflection on the instability of existence.
