Work Description
With the advancement of urbanization, rural opera, a traditional spiritual culture, is showing signs of fatigue, and the rich and colorful ancient dramas are gradually losing their fertile ground for survival. The simple expressions on faces immersed in the sounds of gongs and drums, the ups and downs of the plot, are the most genuine scenery. There is no pretense, no worldly taboos; only moments belonging to the soul are frozen into statues. As the vicissitudes of time turn into yellowed letters, one day, when memories sealed for many years are inadvertently opened, those vivid faces, frozen in time, have long since become symbols, solidified into enduring artistic lives.
This is a continuation of ancient culture spanning thousands of years, and a release and expression of simple emotions. Touched by the authenticity of that moment, and resonating with the interaction of souls, these moments are recorded through the paintings of teacher Wang Zhaoju.
An enduring impression...
