Artist Introduction

Introduction and Experience
Liu Jiutong, who loves landscapes and whose primary subject matter is landscape painting, uses Western media to express the artistic conception of Eastern ink painting. His brushstrokes are vigorous and layered; although his work is abstract, one can still feel the charm of mountains and rivers. Liu Jiutong has consistently strived to depict the spirit of nature's landscapes in his paintings, believing that mountains and rivers possess a life and spirit. Through interaction with mountains and rivers, he evokes a spiritual connection and inspiration, which is then transformed into moving images woven from color and brushstrokes.
