Introduction and Experience
Mr. Moosavi’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in the continuity of family and tradition. It is said that his father was once a painter who dreamed of rendering a garden of flowers across the night sky, yet left the canvas unfinished. Decades later, this unrealized vision became a source of inspiration for Moosavi’s own artistic journey. Working with fine silk threads, he translates his father’s imagined celestial garden into woven form, continuing through craftsmanship a dream left incomplete by the previous generation.
Through meticulous knotting and an intimate understanding of silk, Moosavi transforms painterly visions into richly textured works of art. As he reflects, “My father left his dream unfinished; I continue it in silk.” His practice thus becomes not only an exploration of the possibilities of Persian carpet weaving, but also a deeply personal continuation of an artistic legacy passed from father to son.
