Artist Profile

Introduction and Experience
Ricardo Celma (b. 1975, Buenos Aires, Argentina) is a distinguished figure in contemporary realism, recognized for bridging classical tradition with a modern, symbolic language. A prodigy who began his formal training at the age of five, he graduated with honors from the National School of Fine Arts "Prilidiano Pueyrredón" and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts from the National University of Art.
Celma’s work is held in prestigious museums and private collections worldwide, including in Barcelona, the United States, the Vatican, and European royal collections. His paintings have been exhibited internationally across major art centers in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, earning him numerous awards and top distinctions in the field of figurative art.
Defined by an impeccable technical foundation, Celma’s practice explores the intersection of the physical and the metaphysical. Blending the rigor of the Old Masters with a pursuit of spiritual and symbolic depth, he has established himself as a leading voice in contemporary figurative painting, whose work resonates with a quiet sense of the sacred and the timeless.
